AI creative reviews have a tendency to drift.
They redesign work that only needed evaluation. They rewrite copy that wasn't under review. They invent strategy, manufacture problems, and offer solutions before establishing whether anything is actually wrong.
The Creative Review Guidelines establish a different standard.
They define how an AI should evaluate visual creative work from the perspective of an experienced Art Director or Creative Director: what is working, what is unresolved, and whether the work is finished.
The default task is diagnosis. Not redesign.
Download the PDF and add it to the project, workspace, or system where your AI assistant can access persistent source documents or reference files.
Then instruct the AI:
"Treat the Creative Review Guidelines as the governing standard for all visual creative reviews in this project."
Once established, submit visual work for review normally.
Where the AI platform supports persistent project instructions, knowledge files, or source documents, the guidelines can remain available as a standing review standard.
Where persistent source documents are not supported, attach the PDF or provide it as reference context when beginning a creative review session.
The guidelines establish standards for reviewing:
- Hierarchy
- Composition
- Form and construction
- Typography
- Imagery and graphic elements
- Color
- Production and function
- Logos and identity systems
- Page layouts and visual design
- Digital experiences
- Multipage and design systems
They also establish a first-read requirement so the AI records what the work communicates before being told what it is supposed to communicate.
The system is designed to prevent unnecessary redesign, invented context, automatic recommendations, copy editing, and criticism generated simply to produce more feedback.
